| Aviation
Safety Management Program
UHNL
has an active Company Aviation Safety Management Program
which is co-ordinated by our Company Aviation Safety Officer.
Our Safety Management Program is pervasive throughout our
organization and promotes a safe operating culture.
The
program structure facilitates the recording and analysis
of all safety related events such as Incidents, Accidents,
Occurrences and Hazards, and compiles all information for
statistical reporting purposes and performance measures.
This program is also responsible for maintaining federal
Occupational Health & Safety standards and facilitates
communications required between all stakeholders to create
a safe operating environment. UHNL actively supports and
participates in numerous efforts and organizations to promote
aviation safety and Safety Management within our industry.
As part
of our continuing effort to enhance safe operations, the
majority of UHNL’s aircraft are equipped with “SKYTRAC”
low earth orbit, GPS tracking devices. This technology facilitates
near real time passive flight following over our ever present
uninhabited and isolated areas. This service augments the
high frequency (HF) and very high frequency (VHF) radio
equipment on all aircraft.
A more
detailed description of our Safety Management Program ,
our SKYTRAC flight following system or the details of our
Emergency Response Plan can be forwarded upon request.
